Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a travel Vascular Sonographer for a night-shift hospital assignment in Fort Worth, TX. This 13-week travel role requires 4+ years of ultrasound experience and RVT certification or extensive vascular experience, with RDMS/ARRT and BLS.

You will perform ultrasound procedures under supervision, work 4x10 hour nights (7:30 PM–6:00 AM), and may be required to take call. Housing stipends and benefits accompany the travel package.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of ultrasound technologist experience.
• RV T certification or extensive vascular experience.
• RDMS or ARRT certification required.
• Active Texas license if applicable.
• BLS certification (AHA) required.
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius; local candidates not accepted.
• Night shift; 4x10 hour nights.
• 2 professional references required.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality ultrasound procedures according to exam protocol.
• Communicate with patients and families using AIDET framework.
• Prepare patients and equipment for procedures, including positioning and adjusting imaging controls.
• Adhere to safety, infection-control, and radiation policies while using proper sterile techniques.
• Maintain equipment, work area, and supply inventory to quality standards.
• Document patient history, consent forms, and procedure details accurately.
• Work within PACS, EMR, and other imaging systems per department workflows.
• Care for patients across all age groups from newborn to geriatric.
• May serve as a trainer for new team members or services.
