Job summary

American Traveler seeks a Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer for a 13-week travel assignment in Alexandria, VA. The role requires ARDMS certification and 2+ years of experience, including pediatric scanning.

Expect 40 hours per week, 8-hour days, with on-call shifts and potential overtime. Float coverage between hospital sites and affiliated healthplex, using Epic EMR. Local candidates may be offered a lower rate.

Qualifications

• ARDMS certification and 2+ years of ultrasound experience.
• Current BLS certification through AHA.
• Must be able to scan pediatric patients.
• License to practice required if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound exams in a hospital-based imaging setting.
• Caseload of 12-15 scans per technologist per day across two rooms.
• Float between Inova Alexandria Hospital and offsite healthplex.
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 hours, days; on-call with occasional overtime.
