Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Washington, DC seeks an Ultrasound Technologist to provide high-quality ultrasound imaging in accordance with physician orders. You will prepare rooms and equipment, perform procedures, develop films, and ensure safety and patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer certificate required at hire from ARDMS.
• Basic Life Support required at hire.
• Experience in a hospital setting.
• Customer service and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide ultrasound imaging services to patients per physician orders.
• Prepare ultrasound rooms and diagnostic equipment.
• Perform high quality testing and operate equipment per safety standards.
• Develop films and verify proper patient identification and documentation.
• Assist radiologists with procedures as needed.
• Rotate shifts including surgery and portables; participate in stand-by calls.
• Maintain patient and staff confidentiality and provide patient education as needed.
