Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to provide diagnostic ultrasound imaging to patients in accordance with physician orders. You will prepare rooms, operate equipment safely, and develop films while upholding patient privacy and quality standards.

The role emphasizes patient education, attention to growth and development considerations across age groups, and collaboration with Radiology staff. A hospital setting experience and ARDMS certification are required at hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) at hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required at hire.
• Experience in a hospital setting and strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide ultrasound imaging services following physicians' orders.
• Prepare exam rooms and diagnostic equipment, ensuring safety and privacy.
• Develop and label ultrasound films; evaluate image quality.
• Assist radiologists with procedures and maintain patient comfort.
• Ensure accurate patient data entry in departmental systems.
