Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Travel Ultrasound Technologist for a 13-week assignment at a Level I Trauma Center in New Haven, CT. The role involves general and vascular ultrasound across ED, ICU, and portable settings, with ARDMS certification and 2+ years of specialty experience requested.

Typical schedule is 40 hours weekly, with shift flexibility and a requirement for travel experience. Eligible candidates will work in a high-acuity environment using PACS and Epic EMR systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required; 1.5 years accepted with Level I trauma or travel experience.
• ARDMS certification required; ARDMS AB, ARDMS OB/GYN, and ARDMS RVT preferred.
• BLS preferred
• Adult, ED, ICU, and portable ultrasound experience required.
• PACS experience required
• Epic charting experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs general ultrasound imaging including abdominal, OB/GYN, renal/pelvis, and small parts in adult patients.
• Performs vascular studies including carotid, arterial/venous duplex, dialysis grafts, and renal artery duplex.
• Uses PACS and Philips ultrasound equipment for image acquisition and interpretation.
• Epic EMR used for charting; maintains accurate and timely documentation.
