Job summary

Kaiser Permanente seeks a travel group sonographer for the Olympia, WA area. This full-time role provides ultrasound imaging services, room preparation, and image development for a diverse patient population.

You will maintain safety, accuracy, and high-quality patient care in a hospital setting. Responsibilities include operating ultrasound equipment, evaluating images, documenting procedures, and educating patients.

Qualifications

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification required at hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required at hire.
• Experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Strong patient service and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of radiation safety and infection control practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound imaging according to physician orders and clinical protocols.
• Prepare ultrasound rooms and diagnostic equipment; maintain safety and cleanliness.
• Operate ultrasound equipment and develop films; ensure image quality.
• Evaluate images for technical quality and proper patient identification.
• Provide patient education and address patient concerns as needed.
• Assist radiologists with procedures and documentation.
• Coordinate with staff to ensure timely patient flow.
