Job summary

Milwaukee Transport Services Inc. (Milwaukee County Transit System) seeks a part-time Travel Trainer to support older adults and individuals with disabilities in using public transportation safely.

The role involves one-on-one training, group outreach, and program support with hours varying by season (15–25 hours/week) and a wage of $20.50 per hour. Reports to Mobility Manager; non-represented and non-exempt.

Qualifications

• Education/experience in one of the listed fields or 1+ year working with seniors/disabled.
• Knowledge of ADA rules and policies.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Provides one-on-one training and support to older adults and individuals with disabilities on safe use of public transportation.
• Motivates clients/caregivers to achieve independent travel goals.
• Gathers demographic data and enters it into the database.
