Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a Telemetry RN for a 25-week travel assignment in Springfield, IL. This role focuses on continuous cardiac monitoring, patient assessment, and collaborating with the healthcare team. You will work 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts.

The package includes competitive pay and comprehensive benefits. Required qualifications include 1 year Telemetry RN experience, an active IL RN license, BLS and ACLS. PCCN and NIHSS are preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Telemetry RN experience.
• Current RN license valid in Illinois.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and other telemetry data.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments with a focus on cardiac care.
• Prepares equipment and assists physicians during cardiac procedures.
• Maintains patient comfort and safety in telemetry care.
• Documents nursing history and assessments for telemetry patients.
• Initiates patient education on cardiac health and risk factors.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team for comprehensive care.
• Ensures confidentiality of patient information.
• Performs other duties within scope of practice.
• Adheres to safety protocols, infection control, and regulatory standards.
