Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is recruiting a Telemetry RN for a travel assignment in Cambridge, MA. You will join our clinical team to provide comprehensive cardiac monitoring and patient care in a 8-week travel role, working 36 hours per week on a night, 12-hour shift.

Requirements include 1 year telemetry RN experience, current RN license in Massachusetts, BLS and ACLS certifications. Preferred PCCN and NIHSS credentials may be considered.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Telemetry RN.
• Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and other telemetry data.
• Administrates prescribed medications and treatments with a focus on cardiac care.
• Prepares equipment and aids physician during cardiac-related procedures and examinations.
• Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of telemetry patients.
• Observes patient, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor or physician of patient’s status.
• Responds to life-saving situations in cardiac emergencies.
• Documents nursing history and physical assessments for telemetry patients.
• Initiates patient education plans focused on cardiac health and lifestyle changes.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team for comprehensive telemetry patient care.
• Maintains patient and client confidentiality.
• Performs other duties within scope of practice.
• Adheres to safety protocols and infection control.
