Job summary

TotalMed is seeking Telemetry RN for a travel assignment in Des Moines, IA. Assignment: Med Surg / Telemetry, 26 weeks, 36 hours per week, 12-hour days. Travel nursing role with an immediate start.

The Telemetry RN will monitor patients using heart rate, blood pressure, ECG and other monitors, respond to changes, and provide bedside care. Requires 1 year of acute care experience and current BLS/ACLS/TNCC certification.

Qualifications

• RN with telemetry knowledge and acute care experience.
• 1 year of recent acute care experience required or preferred.
• Telemetry monitoring and bedside care capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care for telemetry patients.
• Monitor telemetry equipment and interpret electronic displays.
• Identify irregular readings and notify the medical team.
• Act to correct adverse symptoms identified by monitoring equipment.
