Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a Telemetry/Med Surg travel nurse (RN) for a 26-week assignment in Des Moines, Iowa. The role offers 36 hours per week, with 12-hour day shifts, and travel employment.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of acute care experience, and hold BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. The Telemetry RN will monitor heart rate, BP, respiration, SpO2 and ECG data, and perform bedside care as needed.

Qualifications

• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required.
• 1 year of acute care experience required.
• Travel RN assignment in Des Moines, IA.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Monitor and adjust specialized telemetry equipment and record readings.
• Identify irregular telemetry readings and notify the medical team.
• Initiate corrective action when monitoring data indicates adverse symptoms.
