Job summary

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist with orthopedic, neuro, robotic, and vascular experience for a hospital operating room position.

The role involves a PM lifestyle in a hospital OR, 36 hours weekly across 3 days with 2-3 Saturdays, and no on-call requirements. You'll handle instruments, equipment, and EPIC charting, ensuring sterile technique and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist credential required.
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
• Orthopedic, neuro, robotic, and vascular surgical experience required.
• License required if applicable.
• Ability to push/pull/lift up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to tolerate long periods of sitting, standing, and/or walking.

Responsibilities

• Hospital operating room setting with PM shift, 11a-12a, no set schedule.
• 36 hours per week across 3 days, including 2-3 Saturdays.
• No on-call or holiday requirements.
• Floats to sister unit as needed.
• Uses EPIC charting system.
• Assist in the care of surgical patients by handling instruments, supplies, and equipment during procedures.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgeon based on understanding of the procedure being performed.
• Ensure quality patient care and maintain the sterile field throughout operative procedures.
• Follow instructions of physicians and RNs in accordance with established hospital policies.
• Practice standard precautions and maintain a safe environment per hospital policies.
• Local candidates accepted.
