Job summary

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for a hospital OR position supporting multiple surgical specialties including orthopedics, general, neuro, and robotics. Day shift, 4x10 hours (6:45 AM–5:15 PM), with weekend and on-call requirements.

Travel assignment may float to sister facilities near the contracted site. Minimum 2 years' experience, BLS, and WA state license if applicable; compact license accepted.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist
• BLS certification required
• WA state license required if applicable
• Compact license must be in hand at time of consideration
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Proficiency in aseptic technique and instrument processing
• Experience with a wide range of surgical specialties and procedures preferred

Responsibilities

• Rotates through orthopedic, general, neuro, thoracic, vascular, GYN, urology, robotics, and ENT cases
• Robotics experience preferred (daVinci & Mako)
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM
• Weekend shifts will be scheduled and required
• On-call required, up to 5 shifts per month including possible weekend call
• Epic EMR used for charting
• Supports surgical procedures across multiple specialties including orthopedics, general surgery, neuro, vascular, GYN, urology, ENT, and thoracic surgery
• May be required to float between sister facilities near the contracted site
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for a travel contract
• Returning former staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• All RTO requests must be submitted up front at time of consideration
• Must be willing to commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays
