Job Summary:
The operating room (OR) open heart cardiothoracic vascular (CVOR) technologist position is located at a healthcare facility. The role involves supporting open-heart surgical procedures in a high-acuity setting. The assignment is scheduled to start on 10/19/2026, with a duration through 01/16/2027, working standard day shifts. The technologist will be responsible for assisting with cardiac surgeries, adhering to relevant protocols, and ensuring patient safety throughout procedures.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 8-hour day shifts, working a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: 2 years of experience as an Open-Heart CVOR Technologist in a similar setting, CPR/BLS certification, Virginia state license (or application submitted for license if not currently licensed), active CST certification, and ability to obtain VA license within approximately 4-6 weeks.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with open-heart surgeries in a CVOR environment.
• Additional Information: Orientation dates are scheduled for 10/5, 10/19, and 11/2, occurring every other week on Mondays unless otherwise posted. Candidates must have prior travel experience for all Centra positions. Call requirements will be no more than three shifts per weekday and up to three weekends in a six-week schedule, with specific weekend shifts from 0700-1500 and 1500-2300 hours. All Request for Time Off (RTO) must be submitted and approved prior to acceptance. No local travelers within 60 miles will be accepted. The client may cancel up to three shifts per assignment due to census fluctuations. Declinations for COVID-19 and flu vaccinations are accepted.
