Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Open Heart specialist located in Bangor, Maine. This position involves supporting cardiothoracic surgery cases, including coronary artery bypass grafts, aortic valve replacements, mitral valve repairs, and ascending aortic repairs. The role requires a flexible and experienced healthcare professional to help facilitate a busy CVOR with an expected start date of 10/27/2026.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, approximately 40 hours per week, with a 4-week cycle. No weekends, but one weekend day per 4-week schedule may be scheduled, with additional weekend days for Surg Tech.
• Required Qualifications: Surg Tech certification; BLS required; CST is preferred but not mandatory; minimum 1 year CVOR experience; valid for positions supporting complex cardiac cases.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with CABG, AVR, MVR, and ascending aortic repairs; comfortability to wear lead; Cerner Electronic Medical Record experience; ability to support various roles on the operative team including anesthesia tech, charge RNs, and educators.
• Additional Information:
  • Support on the unit includes a multidisciplinary team with service line team leads, CRNAs, anesthesiologists, anesthesia tech, and operation room staff.
  • Orientation includes 2 days with a preceptor.
  • Shift times will depend on requisition but are primarily days from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the operating hours of 24/7 CVOR.
  • Call responsibilities are negotiable with a 30-minute response time, but no sleep room is available.
  • Scrub color provided, parking is free, and program name is SimpliFi Travel.
