Job Summary:
The Surgical Technician / Operating Room Technician position is located in a short-term acute care facility. This role involves supporting multiple adult surgical specialties, focusing on complex oncology cases and a variety of surgical procedures. The technician will be expected to operate during evening shifts, including standby shifts, with on-call responsibilities, and may be required to float between units as needed.

Job Details:

• Shift: Evening shift from 11:00 AM to 9:30 PM, with standby shifts of 16 hours on weeknights and 24 hours on weekends every four weeks.
• Schedule: 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certification as a surgical technologist or military trained, with at least 2 years of experience, current BLS and NBSTSA certifications, valid licensed in the applicable state (compact license preferred).
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with adult surgical specialties such as oncology, bariatrics, ortho, neuro, ENT, GYN, urology, thoracic, vascular, and endovascular procedures.
• Additional Information: Must have broad knowledge of surgical equipment and techniques, including familiarity with Intuitive Surgical Systems XI and SI, and previous experience in adult acute care operating rooms. Candidates will be expected to work scheduled holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, and New Years Day. All scheduling and time-off requests must be submitted during application for pre-approval.
