Position requires NBSTSA and BLS certifications, English proficiency, and preferred orthopedic experience. EPIC charting and VNDLY timekeeping are used. Client interview required; free onsite parking available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited civilian or military Operating Room Technician/Surgical Technician program.
• NBSTSA certification required and must be maintained.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with surgical procedures by preparing and maintaining sterile fields.
• Sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
• Ensure surgical equipment is functioning properly prior to procedures.
• Prepare operating rooms and surgical supplies.
• Support surgeons and operating room staff during procedures.
• Follow infection control and patient safety standards.
• Work within a busy surgical services department.

Job Description:

Position: Surgical Technologist

Location: Hyannis, Massachusetts

Setting: Acute Care Hospital

Duration: 13 weeks

Schedule:

• 6:45am-3:15pm
• Monday-Friday
• 8-hour shifts
• 40 hours per week
• No call and no weekends on first contract

Travel Pay Package:

• $2,341 per week total. Includes base pay, housing, meals and incidentals

Overview:

• Assist with surgical procedures by preparing and maintaining sterile fields
• Sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
• Ensure surgical equipment is functioning properly prior to procedures
• Prepare operating rooms and surgical supplies
• Support surgeons and operating room staff during procedures
• Follow infection control and patient safety standards
• Work within a busy surgical services department

• Any scrub color permitted

• COVID and Flu vaccine exemptions accepted
• One-day hospital orientation provided
• Client may cancel up to 2 shifts per rolling 4 weeks with at least 2 hours' notice
• Future contract extensions may include weekend and call responsibilities

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited civilian or military Operating Room Technician/Surgical Technician program
• NBSTSA certification required and must be maintained
• BLS certification required
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
• Orthopedic experience strongly preferred
• Previous Surgical Technologist experience preferred
