American Traveler is seeking a First Assist CVOR Certified Surgical Technologist with vein harvesting experience for a cardiovascular OR position. Open-heart procedures, 1:1 patient care, and on-call requirements are part of this role.

Must have CST and BLS certifications, and be able to operate independently in vein procurement using Maquet Hemopro 2.

Qualifications

• Vein procurement/harvesting experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in CVOR open-heart procedures and related surgeries.
• Perform vein harvesting/procurement as part of team.
• Maintain patient safety with 1:1 patient ratio in CVOR.
• Rotate to Main OR as needed and handle on-call duties.
• Adhere to hospital dress code and scrubs policy.
• Remain independent and competent in vein procurement with Maquet Hemopro 2.

Job description

American Traveler is seeking a First Assist CVOR Certified Surgical Technologist with vein harvesting experience for a cardiovascular OR position.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• CST certification required
• BLS certification required
• Must function as a First Assist (FA)
• Must be competent and independent in vein procurement using the Maquet Hemopro 2 system
• Vein harvesting capabilities required
• State license required if applicable

Responsibilities

• CVOR unit with 3 beds and 15 staff members performing open heart surgeries
• Patient ratio of 1:1 for cardiovascular procedures
• Day shift Monday-Friday with on-call requirements for after hours and weekends
• Procedures include CABG, valve repairs, TAVR standby, laser lead standby, and thoracic robotic-assisted surgeries
• General emergent open-heart procedures also performed
• Floats to Main OR as needed
• Assist in cardiovascular surgeries including open heart procedures
• Perform vein harvesting and procurement duties as part of surgical team role
• Hospital scrubs required per dress code
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• No local candidates will be considered
