Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. seeks a CVOR Surgical Technologist with CV scrub experience for a hospital operating room position in Grand Junction, CO. The selected candidate will scrub CV cases, pass instruments, and maintain sterile technique while supporting patient care in a fast-paced OR.

The role requires BLS, graduation from an accredited surgical technologist program, and the ability to work 4x10 hour day shifts with potential on-call commitments. Epic charting is used in daily duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Surgical Tech experience.
• Minimum 1 year of CVOR scrubbing experience with cardio case experience.
• Minimum 1 year of CV experience as a Surgical Tech.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduation from an accredited surgical technologist program required (US military training may substitute).
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required, active through assignment start.

Responsibilities

• Hospital operating room unit.
• Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts, 40 hours per week.
• On-call requirements to be discussed during interview.
• May be required to float to other departments based on business need.
• Uses Epic for charting.
• Perform scrub duties and maintain sterile supplies and sterile technique.
• Assist in nursing care and preparation of surgical patients.
• Assemble, organize, and complete case carts according to physician preference lists.
• Provide instrumentation, sutures, and supplies while maintaining a sterile environment.
• Pass instruments to the surgeon during cases as needed.
• Perform counts of sponges, needles, blades, and instruments per established policy.
• Assist with specimen care and preparation for laboratory analysis, and handle contaminated materials per policy.
• Support timely room turnover including cleanup, restocking, and equipment care.
• Uphold facility mission, vision, and service behavior standards.
• Returning staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year prior to eligibility."] ,
