Job summary

Mural Group Industrial is seeking structural stick welders for a travel contract in Apple Grove, West Virginia. Work involves modifying four large silos with exterior stiffeners and interior rib removal, in flat-vertical position, with per diem provided for travel.

Expect 3+ months on site with potential extension. Applicants must have SMAW experience on structural carbon steel, be willing to travel, and pass background and drug screenings; CWI is a plus.

Qualifications

• Active SMAW welding experience required.
• Structural carbon steel plate welding background.
• Comfort with intermittent weld technique and understand why continuous welds aren't used on structural plate work.
• 3G (vertical) welding capability required.
• Must pass a 7-year background check and urine/hair drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Weld external L-profile stiffeners and remove internal ribs on four silos.
• Total weld length across project approximates 1,854 feet of welding.
• Work primarily in flat-vertical position; no overhead welding required.
• Welds inspected by magnetic particle testing per client WPS.
