Job summary

Mural Group Industrial is seeking Structural Stick Welders for a travel contract in Apple Grove, West Virginia. You will join a crew of 16 welding on four large silos, with per diem for travel and lodging. The project runs 3+ months with potential extension; start date is immediate.

Primary duty is 3G vertical welding on ASTM A572 Grade 60 steel, using SMAW with E7018/E6010/E6011 rods. Per diem applies; a national travel pool search is in effect.

Qualifications

• Active SMAW welding required (E7018, E6010, E6011).
• Structural carbon steel plate welding background required (stiffeners, gussets, plates).
• Intermittent weld technique knowledge and rationale for non-continuous welds.

Responsibilities

• Weld four large square structural silos on-site; two phases per silo (external stiffeners, then internal ribs).
• Operate in 3G vertical position; base material ASTM A572 Grade 60, 3/8–7/16 in.
• Work in flat-vertical position; use aerial lifts; inspection via magnetic particle testing.
