Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Travel Stepdown RN for a 13-week assignment in Dallas, TX. The role involves caring for patients transitioning from ICU to stepdown units with telemetry monitoring.

The candidate will monitor cardiac status, administer medications, and collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, patient-centered care. Clinical excellence and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent Stepdown RN experience.
• Active RN license in good standing per state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• Preferred PCCN, NIHSS, and additional relevant certifications.

Responsibilities

• Monitor telemetry, vitals, and ECG data; respond to abnormalities.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments with focus on cardiac care.
• Assist physicians with cardiac procedures and prepare required equipment.
• Ensure patient comfort, safety, and continuous monitoring on telemetry.
• Document nursing assessments and interventions accurately.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to coordinate care for telemetry patients.
• Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and hospital policies.
