Job summary

The Stepdown RN will monitor telemetry, administer medications, and collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, patient-centered care for transitioning patients. Travel stipends may be provided; housing options are available; schedules vary and include rotation through day and night shifts.
Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
- Current RN license per state regulations
- Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret telemetry, vital signs, and cardiac rhythms
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments
- Prepare equipment and aid physicians during cardiac procedures
- Maintain patient comfort and safety for telemetry patients
- Document nursing history and assessments; report changes to supervisor/physician
- Educate patients on cardiac health, risks, and lifestyle changes
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for comprehensive telemetry care
- Adhere to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
