Job summary
HealthForce Healthcare seeks a Registered Nurse – Stepdown in Helena, MT for a travel assignment starting 10/11/2026 for 13 weeks, with 36 guaranteed hours per week on a 12-hour Night shift (12x3) in a healthcare facility.
Weekly pay ranges from $2,076 to $2,201, with housing options and 24/7 recruiter support. Requires 2 years stepdown and travel experience, BLS/ACLS, and Epic EMR proficiency.
Qualifications
- 2 years of Stepdown experience
- Prior travel experience required
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Epic EMR experience
- Ability to float between units as assigned
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for stepdown-level patients, including monitoring, administering medications, IV therapy, and ongoing assessments; implement and adjust care plans per physician orders
- Float to stepdown/ICU and medical-surgical units as needed, maintaining safe, effective care within unit protocols
- Maintain appropriate patient-to-nurse ratios and prioritize patient safety, using critical thinking to elevate concerns
- Document thoroughly in the Epic EMR, including assessments, plan of care, and timely communication with the care team
- Respond to codes as trained (BLS/ACLS) and support interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, respiratory therapy, and ancillary staff to coordinate care and discharge planning
