Job summary

Registered Nurse – Med Surg, travel assignment in Helena, Montana, United States. Start date 10/11/2026 for a 13-week assignment with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift is 12-hour nights, on a 12x3 schedule.

Healthcare setting: hospital-level care with a Med/Surg focus. This is a travel - temporary assignment through Healthforce Healthcare LLC. Responsibilities include direct patient care, charting in Epic, float pool between medical/surgical units, and collaboration with the care team to

Qualifications

• 2 years of Med Surg nursing experience; travel experience preferred.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• Epic EMR experience or strong familiarity with Epic workflows.
• Ability to float between medical and surgical/oncology units as part of the float pool.
• Willingness to work a 12-hour night shift schedule and to comply with the assignment’s terms, including travel and relocation requirements and the 200-mile radius rule.
• Active RN license to practice, with eligibility or current status in the applicable state (Montana preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for medical-surgical patients within a hospital setting, including monitoring, assessments, and interventions per care plans.
• Document care in the electronic medical record (Epic) and communicate changes in patient status with the care team.
• Float between medical floor and surgical/oncology units as assigned, maintaining patient safety and quality standards.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with policy, safety guidelines, and physician orders; manage routine wound care and routine procedures as delegated.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, participate in rounds, and communicate with patients, families, and physicians to coordinate care and discharge planning.
• Adhere to unit protocols, safety, infection control practices, and BLS requirements; uphold professional standards and report concerns promptly.
