Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Stepdown RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Richmond, VA. As part of our team, you will deliver high-quality care to patients transitioning from ICU to medical-surgical units, with emphasis on cardiac monitoring and interventions.

The role requires one year of Stepdown experience, an active RN license, and current BLS/ACLS certifications. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and provide education to patients and families.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Stepdown RN experience.
• Current valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments with a cardiac focus.
• Prepares equipment and assists during cardiac procedures.
• Maintains comfort and safety of telemetry patients.
• Observes patient status and notifies clinicians of changes.
• Responds to life-threatening cardiac emergencies per protocols.
• Documents nursing history and assessments for telemetry patients.
• Initiates patient education on cardiac health and risk factors.
• Collaborates with the care team for comprehensive telemetry care.
• Maintains patient and client confidentiality.
• Performs other duties within scope of practice.
• Adheres to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
