Job summary
MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel assignment in Kankakee, Illinois. This role offers 36 hours per week with 12-hour day shifts, for a 13-week duration, starting 10/12/2026.
Applicants must hold an active RN license, have a nursing degree from an accredited program, current BLS certification, and at least 18 months of Acute Care PCU/Step-down experience. Travel experience preferred.
Qualifications
- Active RN license required.
- Degree from accredited nursing program.
- BLS certification required.
- 18+ months of recent Acute Care PCU/Step-down experience.
- Other client facility requirements as determined.
Responsibilities
- Assesses patient needs and documents nursing diagnoses.
- Collects and analyzes health data; documents plan of care.
- Documents plan of care with expected outcomes and nursing interventions.
- Initiates and evaluates patient and family education.
- Revises care plan based on evaluation and nursing interventions.
