Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a capable Stepdown RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Shawnee Mission, KS. You will join a dedicated clinical team, delivering specialized cardiac care and monitoring with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

The role requires one year of Stepdown experience, active RN license, and BLS/ACLS certifications. You will work with a supportive team focused on safe, patient-centered care and effective collaboration across units.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Current valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets telemetry data and vital signs.
• Administers medications and treatments with a focus on cardiac care.
• Aids physicians during cardiac-related procedures and examinations.
• Maintains comfort and safety for telemetry patients.
• Documents patient status and notifies supervisors of changes.
• Responds to life-saving situations per cardiac protocols.
• Records nursing history and assessments for telemetry patients.
• Initiates patient education on cardiac health and risk factors.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team for comprehensive telemetry care.
• Maintains patient and client confidentiality.
• Performs other duties within scope of practice.
• Adheres to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
