Job summary

HealthTrust Workforce Solution External is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Springfield, Missouri. You will work 12-hour days on a busy trauma stepdown unit, and rotate per facility needs.

Requirements include 1 year Tele/Stepdown/ED experience, MO license or eligibility, and BLS/ACLS/PALS; TNCC/NIHSS may be required before start. EPIC is used for charting in a 68-bed unit.

Qualifications

• 1 year Tele, Stepdown or ED experience on resume.
• Current RN license for Missouri or eligibility to obtain.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS required; TNCC/NIHSS may be submitted later.
• Trauma center experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care on a busy urban trauma stepdown unit.
• Maintain patient ratios and monitor acuity in a 68-bed unit.
• Utilize EPIC for documentation and order entry.

• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS from AHA only; TNCC, NIHSS (may be submitted without, but must obtain prior to start)

• Preferred Certifications:
• Years of Experience: 1 year Tele, Stepdown or ED (Level 3, Level 4 or critical access)
• Float Requirements: None

• Number of Beds: 68
• Patient Ratios: 4:1 routinely, surge and other circumstances will alter. We do not guarantee ratios.

Hiring Profile

• Must Have Skills/Experience: 1 year Tele, Stepdown or ED (Level 3, Level 4 or critical access) indicated on the resume. This is a busy urban trauma center.
• Preferred Skillset/Experience: trauma/peds, 200+patients/day, high acuity experience preferred
• Type of Patients on Unit: We are a level one trauma, Stroke, STEMI center and regional burn center
• Personality Fit: Determined, decisive, flexible
