Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for a 42-week travel assignment in Spanaway, Washington. The SLP will evaluate and treat communication and swallowing disorders across ages, developing individualized plans with interdisciplinary teams.

The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, progress monitoring, and clear documentation in the EMR, with emphasis on patient education and caregiver support. Travel settings require infection control and safety adherence.

Qualifications

• Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license per state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology preferred.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders across diverse patients.
• Design individualized therapy programs based on evaluation findings and goals.
• Maintain detailed documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans and home exercises.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards during therapy.
