Job summary

Healthforce is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for an acute care travel assignment in Fargo, North Dakota. The position runs 13 weeks with 36 hours guaranteed per week, on day shifts in a long-term care nursing home.

Weekly pay ranges from 1,999 to 2,080 USD, and the role requires ND licensure or eligibility, a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, and the ability to work with geriatric populations.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and documentation skills; ability to collaborate with diverse care teams.
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• North Dakota licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of residents’ speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing as appropriate.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address identified needs.
• Provide direct speech-language pathology therapy to residents, including therapy aimed at communication, swallowing safety, and feeding skills.
• Document evaluation findings, treatment goals, progress notes, and discharge planning in the resident’s medical record in compliance with relevant regulations.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to coordinate resident care.
• Monitor progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and participate in care conferences to support resident outcomes.
