Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• North Dakota licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• Ability to work with geriatric populations in a long-term care setting.
• Willingness to participate in a travel assignment and day shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of residents’ speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing as appropriate.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address identified needs.
• Provide direct speech-language pathology therapy to residents, including therapy aimed at communication, swallowing safety, and feeding skills.
• Document evaluation findings, treatment goals, progress notes, and discharge planning in the resident’s medical record in compliance with relevant regulations.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to coordinate resident care.
• Monitor progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and participate in care conferences to support resident outcomes.
