Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for an immediate opening in Northridge, CA. The assignment is 13 weeks, 40 hours per week, with dayshift. The SLP will assist patients with speech, voice, or swallowing impairments and develop plans of care in an acute care setting.

The candidate should have ASHA SLP certification with state licensing and BLS. 1 year of experience is preferred, with 6 months for exceptional candidates.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience preferred; 6 months may be considered for exceptional candidates.
• Must have ASHA-SLP National Certification with state-specific licensing and BLS.
• Ability to travel and work 40 hours per week for 13 weeks in a travel assignment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Evaluate patients and develop care plans in an acute care setting.
• Perform screenings and educate patients and families on speech disorders.
• Document progress and communicate with medical staff and families.
