American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for a 13-week acute care travel assignment in Northridge, CA. The role focuses on stroke, TBI, neuro, trauma, and swallowing impairment management within a Level II trauma center.

The position requires CCC-SLP, BLS, 1+ year experience, and a California or compact license. Cerner EMR is used; typical days are 8 hours, with possible float and varied weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Active CCC-SLP certification through ASHA.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist required.
• Prior travel and trauma experience preferred.
• Active state or compact license required for the state of submission; license required if applicable.
• Experience with bedside swallow studies required.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing impairments.
• Collaborate with rehab aides, OTAs, and PTAs as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Complete 1.5 days of department-specific orientation, including Cerner training if needed.
• May float to other assigned areas as needed.
• Weekend coverage requirements vary by need.
