Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Redding, California. The role requires ASHA-SLP certification, BLS, and California licensure with 6 months minimum experience.

The SLP will work 40 hours per week, with a 10-hour shift schedule in a travel capacity. The SLP will assess and treat speech, voice, and swallowing disorders in an acute care setting, develop care plans, and educate patients and families.

Qualifications

• SLP designation with scope to treat speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.
• Able to assess, diagnose, and develop plans of care for diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Create treatment plans for diverse patient populations.
• Perform screenings for voice or speech disorders.
• Educate patients and families about speech disorders and causes.
• Report progress and status to families, teachers, or medical staff.
• Provide documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.
