Amergis is seeking a Special Education Teacher in Savannah, GA to provide quality services to students from kindergarten through grade 12. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree, valid state teaching certificate, and at least one year of teaching experience; LBS1 endorsement preferred;

Qualifications

• Valid state teaching certificate per district regulations
• Minimum one year teaching experience preferred
• State Teacher Certification types: Elementary/Secondary/Special Teaching
• LBS1 endorsement preferred
• CPR/health certificates as applicable

Responsibilities

• Provide quality services to special education students from kindergarten through grade 12.
• Collaborate with the Special Education Program Administrator and general education staff to plan and implement student programs.
• Participate in team planning for instruction, tutoring, and consultation with classroom teachers.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university

State Teacher Certification; Elementary

State Teacher Certification; Secondary

State Teacher Certification; Special Teaching

Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred

Current CPR/Health certificate per policy
