Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred.
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state regulations.
• Minimum of one year teaching experience preferred.
• State teacher certificates for elementary, secondary or special teaching preferred.
• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR and health-related clearances if applicable.
• TB/PPD or chest x-ray and health certificate as required.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality services to special education students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
• Collaborate with general education staff in planning and implementing student programs.
• Contribute to special instruction, tutorials, and related consultations.
