Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks a Speech Language Pathologist for a travel assignment in Grayling, Michigan. This 13-week position requires 30 hours per week, with long daytime shifts and a travel-friendly schedule.

The ideal candidate has 6 months of experience (1 year preferred), BLS, and ASHA-SLP certification with state licensing. The role involves evaluating and planning care for patients with speech, voice, or swallowing impairments in acute care settings.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of experience; new grads encouraged to apply.
• BLS and ASHA-SLP National Certification with state-specific licensing.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Create treatment and therapy plans to suit individualized patient needs.
• Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
• Educate patients and family about speech disorders and causes.
• Report progress to appropriate parties (family, teachers, medical professionals).
• Provide documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.
