Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a Travel Speech-Language Pathologist for a 13-week assignment in Detroit, Michigan. The role is travel-based, with 40 hours per week and shifts of 8 hours in the acute care setting.

Immediate opening with a focus on patient care and evaluation within diverse populations. The ideal candidate has 1 year of experience (6 months considered for exceptional candidates) and holds BLS and ASHA-SLP National Certification with state licensing.

Qualifications

• ASHA-SLP certification and state licensure required.
• BLS certification required.
• 6 months of experience minimum; exceptional candidates with 6 months accepted.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Create treatment plans for diverse patient populations.
• Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
• Educate patients and families about speech disorders and causes.
• Report progress to families, teachers, or medical professionals.
• Provide documentation following state/insurance guidelines.
