Job summary

AMN Healthcare Allied, Waipahu, HI, is seeking a physical therapist to support a school district for 35 weeks as a travel assignment. The PT will assess, plan, and implement treatment to help students reduce pain, improve movement, and restore function.

Responsibilities include collaboration with district staff, data collection, documentation, and clear communication with teachers, families, and other team members. A DPT, HI license, NPTE passage, and school-based experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program.
• Active Physical Therapy (PT) license in HI (PT-HI).
• Pass the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE).

Responsibilities

• Partner with the district as a member of a collaborative team to help students restore and maintain their physical functions.
• Screen and evaluate students referred to Physical Therapy treatment.
• Appropriately collect data, report findings.
• Diagnose movement dysfunction and create personalized treatment plans to help patients reduce pain, improve movement, and restore function.
• Provide evidence-based direct and consultative therapy services as required.
• Maintain accurate documentation and billing per district and state standards.
• Participate on a collaborative team and maintain clear communication with teachers, district staff, and families regarding student treatment.
