Job summary

AHS Staffing is seeking a School Services Occupational Therapist for a travel assignment across Leonardtown, Maryland. The role runs for 13 weeks, 35 hours per week, with 12-hour days, Monday through Friday, in-person within school settings across the southern county.

The OT will support students with IEP-mandated therapy, collaborating with educators to promote academic, social, and physical development. It is a full-time travel position with ongoing opportunities for professional growth and

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Maryland Occupational Therapy License.
• Experience with children, especially school experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess students' motor, sensory, and functional abilities to identify areas of need and develop individualized therapy plans.
• Deliver targeted occupational therapy interventions in accordance with students' IEPs, helping them achieve academic and developmental goals.
• Work closely with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to create supportive learning environments tailored to students' unique needs.
• Contribute to the development of IEPs by offering insights on motor development, sensory needs, and appropriate accommodations or modifications.
