AHS Staffing is seeking a travel School Occupational Therapist for a travel job in Arlington Heights, Illinois. This role supports K-8 students in a school setting, with a 13-week assignment and a 37.5-hour work week.

The position requires a Master's in Occupational Therapy and an IL OT license (or eligibility). Travel and fieldwork experience are valued, with in-person collaboration across a team of OTs and school staff.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy.
• IL OT license or eligible.
• Previous experience working with kids is preferred, school-based a plus; Fieldwork counts.

Responsibilities

• Assess students’ motor, sensory, and functional abilities to identify areas of need and develop individualized therapy plans.
• Deliver targeted occupational therapy interventions in accordance with students’ IEPs, helping them achieve academic and developmental goals.
• Work closely with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to create supportive learning environments tailored to students’ unique needs.
• Contribute to the development of IEPs by offering insights on motor development, sensory needs, and appropriate accommodation or modifications.
