Description

American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric Respiratory Therapist with 2+ years of pediatric, neonatal, and infant experience for a night shift position at a Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital.

Details

• Work in a Pediatric Critical Care unit including NICU Level 4 and Pediatric Cardiac patients
• 3x12 night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday rotation required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating within scope may be required depending on experience
• Epic EMR system used

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• RRT certification required
• BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required (AHA certifications only)
• Pediatric, neonatal, and infant experience required
• Experience with bronchoscopy patient care preferred
• Airway management devices and suctioning skills required
• Extubation experience required
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• South Carolina RRT license required, must be in hand at time of start (pending license may be considered with proof of application)
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Located at a Magnet-designated, teaching hospital with Level 1 Trauma status
• Caribbean Blue scrub color required
• Provide respiratory care to critically ill pediatric, neonatal, and infant patients
• First-time travelers may be accepted depending on position needs
• Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized
• Local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application for consideration
• Employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November)
