Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a rehabilitation hospital night shift in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The position requires 1+ years of experience and Michigan licensure.

This travel assignment is 13 weeks long, 36 hours per week, with 3x12 hour nights and Epic EMR. Responsibilities include bronchodilator care, ventilator management, pulmonary hygiene, and discharge education.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), CRT not accepted.
• Minimum 1 year of experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• NBRC national certification required.
• Michigan state RRT license required in hand prior to start.
• Epic EMR experience preferred.
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive respiratory care through patient assessment and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Perform bronchodilator care, ventilator care, pulmonary hygiene therapy, and airway management.
• Performs tracheostomy changes, sleep disorder screening, and Bipap/Cpap therapy.
• Conducts diagnostic procedures including EKGs, blood gas analysis, TCOM monitoring, and overnight pulse ox studies.
• Assists with discharge education and coordination for patients.
