Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night shift acute care position in West Virginia, requiring 1+ year of ER and critical care experience. WV licensure and current certifications ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS are required.

You will be the sole respiratory therapist on shift (6:00 PM–6:30 AM) with every-other weekend and on-call duties in a Joint Commission accredited facility. Travel rate eligibility applies for candidates living 60 miles or more from the facility.

Qualifications

• RRT certification/licensure required to practice in WV
• Minimum 1+ years of respiratory therapy experience
• Experience in ER and critical care settings
• Ability to work independently in a critical access hospital environment
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS

Responsibilities

• Work in the Respiratory Therapy department serving patients of all ages
• Serves as the sole respiratory therapist on shift
• Night shift, 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Call as needed
• Float as needed
• Work within a Joint Commission accredited facility offering a wide range of surgical services
• Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance
• Scrubs of any color accepted; casual wear is not permitted
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be eligible for travel rate
• Candidates who have worked perm staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
