Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing, LLC is seeking a Travel Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Clinton, IA. The RT will provide advanced respiratory care and collaborate with physicians to support critically ill patients in ICU and ER settings.

The role emphasizes independent assessment, treatment planning, and patient/family education. Travel staff receive competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and strong clinical support from a dedicated team.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC.
• Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• ACLS or PALS certification optional as preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians to develop patient treatment plans.
• Examine and interview patients with breathing and/or cardiopulmonary disorders.
• Perform diagnostic tests such as lung capacity measurements and sample collection.
• Administer treatments including chest physiotherapy and aerosolized medications.
• Set up and monitor oxygen delivery and devices.
• Observe, document, and report patient status and progress.
• Educate patients and families on medications and equipment use.
• Perform other duties within the RRT scope as assigned.
