Job summary

Focus Staff is seeking a traveling Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week contract assignment in Clinton, Iowa. The position runs 36 hours per week with 12-hour days on a 3x12 schedule, and is categorized as travel/temporary staffing.

The role involves collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other therapists to develop patient care plans and deliver high‑quality respiratory care. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of experience, current CPR/BCLS certification, and strong communication

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience as Respiratory Therapist.
• Current CPR or BCLS certification required.
• BCLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP certifications preferred.
• Excellent communication with staff, physicians, patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patient and recommending a treatment plan.
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex conditions.
• Insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Timely and accurate documentation.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Teaching and counseling patients/families.
