Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Travel Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week assignment at a facility in Council Bluffs, IA. The role offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and support from a dedicated clinical team.

Ideal candidates will have 1 year of RRT experience, NBRC RRT credential, and active BLS certification. ACLS/PALS are preferred, and licensure reimbursement may be provided.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• Valid RRT credential from the NBRC.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians to develop patient treatment plans.
• Examine and interview patients with respiratory/cardiopulmonary disorders.
• Perform diagnostic tests such as lung capacity measurements or blood/sputum collection.
• Provide treatments including chest physiotherapy and aerosol medications.
• Set up and monitor oxygen delivery at prescribed rates.
• Observe and record patient status and progress.
• Work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure appropriate care.
• Educate patients and families on medication use and equipment.
• Perform other duties within the scope of RRT practice.
