American Traveler, LLC is hiring an RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring 2 years of PCU/Stepdown experience and a NC or compact RN license. The role is a 13-week contract on the night shift with 7p-7a and weekend rotation.

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k), housing and travel reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Active NC or compact RN license required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of PCU/Stepdown experience.
• Two professional references submitted within the past two years.
• Candidates with minor background infractions may be considered.
• Proof of COVID vaccination with exemption documentation within 72 hours if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Hospital PCU care in a progressive/stepdown environment.
• 13-week night shift contract, 7p-7a.
• Weekend rotation every third weekend.
• No on-call duties.
• Floating within scope as needed.
• Must reside >50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted.
• First-time travelers may be considered.
• PCU/CCU positions will not consider travel pairs.
• Staff reapplication rules apply if previously employed.

• Minimum 2 years of PCU/Stepdown experience required
• Two professional references required, completed within the past two years by a supervisor
• Candidates with minor background infractions may be considered
• Proof of COVID vaccination required, with exemption documentation submitted within 72 hours of acceptance if applicable

Responsibilities

• Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of a hospital setting
• 13-week contract on night shift, 7p-7a (3x12 hours)
• Weekend rotation required every third weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required within scope as needed
• Provide nursing care to patients in a progressive/stepdown care environment
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Local candidates are not accepted
• First-time travelers may be considered depending on experience
• PCU and CCU positions will not consider travel pairs
• Previous staff must have been separated from the facility for at least one year and in good standing to reapply, and must not be local
