American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for a 29-bed adult PCU/Stepdown unit. Requires MO or compact RN licensure, ACLS, and BLS. 1+ year PCU/Stepdown experience preferred.

The role includes night shifts (19:00-07:30), floating to ICU/MS units, and 36/48 hour contracts. Travel-ready with benefits and housing support; open to first-time travelers. Local candidates with distance caveats are noted, and the unit operates 24/7/365.

Qualifications

• Active MO or Compact RN license required (no pending licenses).
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Minimum 1 year of PCU/Stepdown experience required.
• Telemetry monitoring, isolation precautions, PPE use experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for adult PCU/stepdown patients including cardiac monitoring and emergency response.
• Night shift schedule: 3x12 hours (19:00-07:30).
• 36 or 48 hour contracts available.
• Every other weekend requirement.
• Mandatory floating to ICU and MS cluster units (ICU floats considered based on patient acuity).
• Cerner charting system preferred.
• Role involves routine contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses.
• Facility operates 24/7, 365 days a year, including during inclement weather.

Requirements

• Active MO or Compact RN license required (no pending licenses)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of PCU/Stepdown experience required
• Skills in IV therapy/phlebotomy, central and peripheral line care, cardiac monitoring, and dysrhythmia management
• Experience with telemetry monitoring, isolation precautions/PPE, and use of Rapid Response/Code teams
• Ability to ambulate, reach, and move objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs

Responsibilities

• 29-bed adult stepdown/progressive care unit (PCU)
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (19:00-07:30)
• 36 or 48 hour contracts available
• Every other weekend requirement
• Mandatory floating to ICU and MS cluster units (ICU floats considered based on patient acuity)

• Holiday coverage required for at least 50% of holidays occurring during the contract

• Local candidates are not eligible for extensions beyond the initial contract
• Maximum RTO of 10 days permitted, with none allowed during the first week due to orientation
